04/11/2021 (Agence Europe) – Industrial producer prices were up by 2.7% in both the euro area and the EU in September 2021 compared with August, according to the latest figures released on Thursday 4 November by Eurostat, the EU’s statistical office. This is an increase of 16% in the euro area and 16.2% in the EU compared to September 2020. The energy sector recorded the highest one-month inflation (+7.7% in the euro area and +7.8% in the EU). The three countries with the highest increase were Ireland (+23.2%), Denmark (+8.4%), and Greece (+5.8%).
