REACT-EU, European Commission approves €268 million of aid for Spain

13/10/2021 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 13 October, the European Commission announced the approval, within the framework of the REACT-EU initiative, of a modification of four Operational Programmes (OP) of the European Social Fund (ESF) and the Fund for European Aid to the Most Deprived (FEAD) for a total of 268 million euros for several Spanish regions, the region of Asturias (€102.4 million from the ESF), País Vasco (€93 million from the ESF) and Navarra (€33 million from the ESF). In addition, the Operational Programme of the Fund for European Aid to the Most Deprived (FEAD) has been modified for an additional amount of €40 million. As of 11 October, €34.4 billion of the €50.6 billion (in current prices) had been allocated (see EUROPE 12809/13), according to the monitoring site React-EU dashboard.
