06/10/2021 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission published on Wednesday 6 October a roadmap for digital services for planning and purchasing tickets for journeys combining several modes of transport. Faced with, among other things, the “lack of digital services offering multimodal options” and “cooperation problems” between operators in the sector, the Commission wishes to better integrate rail and public transport, ensure the security and transparency of commercial agreements between players in the sector, and combat discriminatory behaviour by digital multimodal mobility services. To this end, the Commission intends to draw up a list of requirements, both for mobility services and for operators. These obligations could cover a number of areas, such as the provision of information to passengers or the listing of online operators. See the consultation: https://bit.ly/3BhNXEQ (TM)
