MEPs support appointment of Verena Ross as head of ESMA

01/10/2021 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 30 September, the European Parliament’s Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON) endorsed, by a large majority (46 votes in favour, 6 against and 5 abstentions), the appointment of German Verena Ross as head of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), following a hearing organised the same day.
