23/09/2021 (Agence Europe) – The World Trade Organization’s (WTO) Services Trade Barometer, published on Thursday 23 September, shows that trade in services continued to grow in the second and third quarters of 2021. This barometer indicates the likely trend for the last few months, before official figures are available. Although this index is above 100 (102.5) and therefore indicates a positive development, it has lost a few points compared to May. This means that the recovery is likely to be slower than at the beginning of the year. While the passenger air transport sector has been growing faster since May 2021, financial services are growing more slowly, although still positively.
