24/08/2021 (Agence Europe) – Twelve EU Member States - Austria, Belgium, Germany, Spain, France, Luxembourg, Malta, Portugal, Latvia, the Czech Republic, Croatia and Romania - plus Norway responded to Tunisia’s request for emergency assistance in response to the health crisis. Some 1.3 million doses of vaccine and nearly 8 million face masks have already been delivered, as well as ventilators, medical beds and antigen tests. Further deliveries are planned by the end of August. For its part the EU has released €700,000 under the epidemic tool. This sum will be used to coordinate and support the vaccination campaign in Tunisia. (TM)
