Recognition of professional qualifications, Czech Republic should explain itself before Court

15/07/2021 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission decided on Thursday 15 July to refer the Czech Republic to the Court of Justice of the European Union over its continuing restrictions on certain regulated professions such as doctors, nurses, veterinarians and architects. Although Prague has made changes to its national law, some Czech provisions on formalities and safeguards for regulated professions still infringe Directive 2005/36, according to the European Commission.
