Still no agreement on patent clearance for Covid-19 vaccines at WTO 

15/07/2021 (Agence Europe) – For the fifth time in a month, members of the World Trade Organization’s (WTO) Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) Council met informally on 14 July. This time they had to start drafting a report for the General Council on 27-28 July. The paper states that the TRIPS Council has not finished its review of the Covid-19 vaccine patent exemption and wishes to continue discussions. At this informal meeting, the usual divisions (see EUROPE 12749/17) were again expressed by members, according to a Geneva source. (LM)
