LinkedIn joins EU code of conduct on countering illegal hate speech online

The European Commission announced, on Friday 25 June, that the online professional network LinkedIn has signed up to the EU Code of Conduct on countering illegal hate speech online (see EUROPE B12343A7).

The Commissioner for Justice, Didier Reynders, welcomed the arrival of a “major player” in the code.

LinkedIn is the eleventh signatory, after Facebook, Microsoft, Twitter,YouTube, Instagram, Google+, Snapchat, Dailymotion, Jeuxvideo.com and TikTok.
