European Commission makes suggestions on integrating European Green Deal into future CAP

The European Commission has recently put forward proposals on how to integrate the objectives of the ‘European Green Deal’ into the texts of the new Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).

The integration of the objectives pertaining to biodiversity and the Farm to Fork strategy into the CAP, which will enter into force on 1 January 2023, is one of the issues still being discussed in negotiations over the text on the strategic plans (see EUROPE B12741A11).
