18/05/2021 (Agence Europe) – The European Confederation of Builders (EBC), as a member of the Construction Alliance 2050 (an alliance launched in 2020 bringing together 47 European organisations related to the construction sector) welcomed the update of the industrial strategy presented at the beginning of May (see EUROPE 12713/6) in a press release published on Tuesday 18 May. It specifically welcomes the emphasis placed on the construction ecosystem, which is particularly affected by the green transition. In this context, it is of the opinion that the European Commission’s High-Level Construction Forum should serve as a political sounding board for setting the priorities to be supported by the technical working groups, underlining the importance of the ‘co-creation’ approach put forward in the strategy.
