29/04/2021 (Agence Europe) – The European Parliament adopted on Thursday 29 April the new EU anti-fraud programme 2021-2027. The programme aims to support the protection of the Union's financial interests and mutual administrative assistance between customs authorities (see EUROPE 12619/7). With €181.2 million over 7 years, the programme aims to replace the Hercule III programme (Regulation 250/2014) and combine it with the Anti-Fraud Information System (AFIS) and the Irregularity Management System (IMS). This text aims in particular at providing tools for the exchange of information and assistance for operational activities in the field of mutual administrative assistance in customs and agricultural matters.
