15/03/2021 (Agence Europe) – The European Builders Confederation (EBC) and the International Union of Property Owners (IUPI) published a joint paper on Monday 15 March, in which they put forward their long-term vision for introducing ‘one-stop-shops’ (OSSs) as part of the ‘Renovation Wave’ and the ‘Green Deal’. The two organisations believe that, because EU regulatory frameworks are too complex, current practices are too diverse and fragmented and focus too much on communication and on coordination of market actors. In their view, priority must be given to: - encouraging funding of comprehensive OSSs (facilitating blending with Structural and Investment Funds); - allowing consumers more flexibility to choose professionals; - finding ways to better involve the various stakeholders in the development and management of OSSs.
