Northern Ireland protocol, Commission pursues infringement proceeding against London 

The European Commission confirmed, on Friday 5 March, that it was considering legal action against the United Kingdom following London’s unilateral announcement on 3 March of the six-month extension of the grace period allowed by the British withdrawal agreement on customs controls between Northern Ireland and Great Britain (see EUROPE B12670A6).
