21/01/2021 (Agence Europe) – The European Public Prosecutor’s Office and Europol announced in a press release on Thursday, 21 January, that they have signed a working arrangement establishing the foundation for their future cooperation. The working arrangement was approved by the College of the European Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Europol Management Board at the end of 2020 and was signed in Luxembourg by European Chief Prosecutor Laura Kövesi and in The Hague by Europol’s Executive Director Catherine De Bolle. According to the arrangement, the European Public Prosecutor’s Office and Europol will mainly cooperate not only via the exchange of information between the two parties—for example, on certain specialist knowledge or criminal investigation procedures—but also via participation in training activities as well as the provision of advice and support in individual criminal investigations. The European Public Prosecutor’s Office is expected to begin its operations this coming March. See the arrangement: https://bit.ly/3c1m6iu (MF)
