21/01/2021 (Agence Europe) – The resolution detailing MEPs’ expectations and recommendations for the revision of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) guidelines was adopted by 657 votes to 8 with 25 abstentions on Wednesday 20 January. The text had been welcomed the day before, during a plenary debate (see EUROPE 12639/14), both by the different political groups and by the European Commissioner for Transport, Adina Vălean, whose services are currently working on the revision proposal. “I expect the Commission to incorporate the proposals and ideas about the future design of the TEN-T into its work and into the upcoming proposal”, insisted rapporteur Jens Gieseke (EPP, Germany) in a statement. The Commission’s proposal is expected in the third quarter of 2021. (AC)
