21/12/2020 (Agence Europe) – “The migration situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina is alarming. Over 3,300 refugees and migrants will find themselves without access to basic shelter and services in the country with the imminent closure of the facility in Lipa [...] and no alternative solution from the authorities”, said High Representative of the Union for Security and Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell and European Commissioners for Home Affairs Ylva Johansson and Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi. They urged the Bosnian authorities to reopen the reception centre in Bira and the one in Ciljuge, near Tuzla, promising to cooperate with the local authorities in order to “also take into account the interests of the local population”.
