15/12/2020 (Agence Europe) – The service of the European Galileo navigation programme was disrupted on Monday 14 December by an “anomaly” in the time determination function of the system’s ground segment, GSA, the European GNSS Agency, explained in a press release published the same day. The system was reconfigured and “reset to nominal” after 6 hours. The GSA has provided assurances that it will communicate the causes of the incident as soon as the investigation has progressed. This is a “minor” anomaly, we are assured, which has nothing to do with the breakdown in the summer of 2019 (see EUROPE 12302/10), which led to an investigation into the shortcomings of the European governance (see EUROPE 12370/2).
