07/12/2020 (Agence Europe) – Contrary to our article (see EUROPE 12616/13) dated 4 December, the Ambassadors of the Member States to the European Union (Coreper) have not yet approved the draft conclusions on the promotion of European cooperation in the field of offshore and other renewable energies. Although these conclusions are less divisive than those on hydrogen, it would appear that one national delegation had nevertheless expressed some reservations about the latest draft text proposed by the German Presidency of the EU Council. Consequently, the ambassadors will return to this subject on 9 December. Barring any surprises, they should approve the draft conclusions at that time. (DG)
