Under SURE instrument, European Commission pays a further tranche to Member States

01/12/2020 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission announced on Tuesday 1 December that it had paid €8.5 billion to five Member States under the SURE instrument for temporary support to national short-time working schemes to deal with the consequences of the coronavirus. Belgium received €2 billion (out of a total of €7.8 billion), Hungary €200 million (out of €504 million), Portugal €3 billion (out of €5.9 billion), Romania €3 billion (out of €4.1 billion)...
