European Parliament Committee on Transport calls for a greener, better and more controlled TEN-T

The European Parliament’s Committee on Transport (TRAN) adopted on Tuesday 1 December, by an overwhelming majority (47 votes in favour, 1 against, 1 abstention) the final version of the own-initiative report by Jens Gieseke (EPP, Germany - see EUROPE B12552A3) on the revision of the guidelines for the trans-European transport network (TEN-T). A legislative proposal in this respect is indeed expected by the end of summer 2021 (see EUROPE B12607A17).
