Polish government postpones implementation of controversial Polish Constitutional Tribunal ruling on abortion

04/11/2020 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 3 November, the Polish government announced that the entry into force of the Polish Constitutional Tribunal’s decision of 22 October, which paved the way for an almost total ban on abortion, would be postponed (see EUROPE B12588A9). Demonstrations have increased in Poland since then, with up to 100,000 people gathering in Warsaw.
