06/10/2020 (Agence Europe) – “We welcome the fact that the Bureau [of the European Parliament] has finally adopted the Daphne Caruana Galizia Prize for investigative journalists”, said Greens/EFA Co-President Ska Keller (Germany) on Tuesday 6 October. Parliament’s €20,000 prize, which will be awarded for the first time in 2021, is named after the murdered Maltese journalist. It aims to recognise the role of the media as a democratic counter-power.
