EU Council adopts regulation on temporary support measures for railway sector

06/10/2020 (Agence Europe) – On Friday, 2 October, the EU Council adopted the final text of the regulation granting Member States the possibility to provide railway companies relief from certain charges. The EU Council had adopted its position on this text by written procedure at the beginning of September (see EUROPE B12556A18). The European Parliament followed suit, aligning itself with the position of the Member States so that the text could be adopted as a matter of urgency...
