Six young Portuguese citizens sue EU Member States for “fuelling the climate crisis”

04/09/2020 (Agence Europe) – Six young Portuguese people supported by the NGO Global Legal Action Network took their case to the European Court of Human Rights on Thursday 3 September by filing suit against 33 countries, including the EU Member States, Norway, Switzerland, Russia, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and Ukraine on the grounds that they are “fuelling the climate crisis”.
