26/08/2020 (Agence Europe) – The European company Airbus has allowed the violation of the arms embargo imposed on Libya through the maintenance of Turkish military cargo planes that would have brought weapons into the country, the German television channel Deutsche Welle said on Tuesday 25 August. According to the media, the maintenance of the A400M cargo aircraft was carried out at the Airbus facilities near Munich, but also by company employees at a military base in Turkey. According to its agreement with Ankara, Airbus has guaranteed to provide personnel to the Turkish armed forces to help with the technical maintenance of the aircraft until 2023, Deutsche Welle said.
