Commission appoints Professor Jean-Pierre Bourguignon as acting President of European Research Council

24/07/2020 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission announced on Friday 24 July that Professor Jean-Pierre Bourguignon would assume the interim presidency of the European Research Council (ERC). Mr Bourguignon, President of the ERC Chair from January 2014 to December 2019, will begin his term on Monday 27 July. The new ERC Chair is expected to take office in 2021. The post had not been filled since the much-discussed resignation of Mauro Ferrari last 7 April...
