EU extends mandate of Head of Mission for EUCAP Sahel Mali

24/06/2020 (Agence Europe) – The Ambassadors of the EU Member States, meeting within the Political and Security Committee (PSC), decided on Friday 19 June to extend the mandate of the Head of Mission for EUCAP Sahel Mali, Philippe Rio, until 31 December 2020. The French Brigadier General’s mandate, in post since 1 October 2017, was due to end on 30 September. The mandate for the EUCAP Sahel Mali mission runs until 14 January 2021.
