German EU Council Presidency calendar officially published

24/06/2020 (Agence Europe)On Wednesday 24 June, the German Presidency of the EU Council published its work schedule, although it is still subject to developments in Covid-19. The following informal ministerial meetings are expected to be held by videoconference in July: Justice and Home Affairs (6-7 July), Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs (16-17 July) and Competitiveness (21 and 23 July). Physical meetings could resume at the end of August with the informal ‘Defence’ meeting on 26 and 27 August, the Gymnich on 27 and 28 August in Berlin, and the informal ‘Agriculture’ meeting in Koblenz on 30-31 August and 1 September. The informal Ecofin meeting is scheduled for 11-12 September in Berlin. The Presidency also wishes to organise an informal meeting on consumer rights on 2 and 3 November in Berlin.
