European Parliament calls for better protection for seasonal and cross-border workers

22/06/2020 (Agence Europe) – The European Parliament adopted (593 votes in favour, 34 against, 38 abstentions), on Friday 19 June, the resolution on the protection of seasonal and frontier workers in the Union in the context of Covid-19 (see EUROPE B12510A5). In essence, MEPs are calling for more cross-border inspections to combat abuse by stressing the role of the European Labour Authority.
