14/05/2020 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 14 May, the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) announced the launch of its “Crisis Response Initiative” to combat the Covid-19 pandemic. The Governing Board of the Institute wants €60 million in additional funding to be mobilised in that regard. According to the EIT, this new initiative is designed to help highly innovative companies overcome the crisis and accelerate their growth, and also to launch new innovation projects to address the immediate crisis and prevent its resurgence. This response to the crisis will be implemented by all the “EIT's Knowledge and Innovation Communities across Europe”, the Institute said in a press release. (AC)
