First meeting of Specialised Committee on Protocol on Northern Ireland

The first EU/United Kingdom Specialised Committee on the Protocol on Northern Ireland took place on Thursday 30 April, the Commission and the UK Government said in a press release. This specialised committee is one of the thematic groups of the Joint Committee responsible for implementing the details of the UK withdrawal agreement, which entered into force on 1 February. The protocol should be operational by 1 January 2021.
