26/03/2020 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission announced on Wednesday, 25 March, that Indonesia and Norway have decided to join the International Platform on Sustainable Finance. Launched by the EU, Argentina, Canada, Chile, China, India, Kenya, and Morocco in October 2019 , the International Platform on Sustainable Finance aims to strengthen international cooperation and to better coordinate the approaches of the different participating countries in order to scale up the mobilisation of private capital towards ‘green’ investments (see EUROPE 12352/18). With Switzerland’s announcement, in early March, of its willingness to join the platform, there are now 10 countries working with the EU on initiatives such as taxonomies, standards, labels, and disclosures to help investors identify ‘green’ investments.
