26/03/2020 (Agence Europe) – The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) announced that it has organised, until 3 April, the third stakeholder referral on the revision of its 2013 guidance document on the assessment of the risk of pesticides for bees - a highly controversial revision requested by the European Commission (see EUROPE 12335/16). The EFSA Stakeholder Advisory Group and the network of Member States’ pesticide experts were invited to comment on the proposed approach for the revision of the Tier 1 risk assessment programmes, in particular with regard to crop attractiveness and risk assessment methodologies. A general public referral and workshop will be organised when the draft revised guidance document is finalised, possibly in October (see EUROPE 12290/11). (AN)
