What type of responsibility for online platforms, an issue at heart of future act for digital services

Should online platforms be held accountable for the content they host? Yes, Internal Market Commissioner Thierry Breton replied, on Monday 17 February, to a small group of journalists after his meeting with Mark Zuckerberg.

However, he did not specify whether he was referring to the term 'liability' or 'responsibility', which was put forward by the platforms (see EUROPE B12399A9).
