EU to deploy 15 times more charging stations for electric cars by 2030, says T&E

If the European Union wants to achieve its climate-neutral targets by 2050, it will need 15 times more public charging stations for electric cars in 2030 than it does now, according to an analysis published on Wednesday 8 January by Transport & Environment.

In concrete terms, this means that 3 million public charging stations will be needed to power some 44 million electric cars by 2030. Currently, that is just not there. Only 185,000 terminals have been installed in Europe. This is...
