08/01/2020 (Agence Europe) – The European Commissioner for Agriculture, Janusz Wojciechowski, met on Wednesday 8 January in Zagreb, Croatia, with Mr Andrej Plenković, Prime Minister of Croatia, and Ms Marija Vučković, Minister of Agriculture of Croatia, to discuss the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) post- 2020. The Commission presented its proposals in June 2018 and the process of adoption of the texts by the EU Council and the European Parliament is ongoing. On Thursday 9 January, before joining the College of Commissioners’ visit, Mr Wojciechowski will deliver a speech to the agriculture committee of the Croatian Parliament. From 2014 to 2020, the CAP will invest some €3.5 billion in Croatia's farming sector and rural areas. (LC)
