07/11/2019 (Agence Europe) – Twelve regions presented an initiative to launch an intercultural network of regions at the Catalan Government’s representation to the EU on Wednesday 6 November. The objective of the initiative, which brings together the Spanish, Swedish, Austrian, Belgian, British and Italian regions, is to create a platform for the exchange of good practices and institutional collaboration by integrating an intercultural dimension, explains the Catalan representative, Meritxel Serret, in a press release. The project would include migration and discrimination, in particular, the statement said. The initiative is supported by the Assembly of European Regions and the Council of Europe’s Intercultural Cities Programme. (PH)
