European Parliament adopts its resolution on country by country reporting with flying colours

24/10/2019 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 24 October, MEPs adopted by a very large majority (572 votes in favour, 42 against and 21 abstentions) a resolution calling on the EU Council to urgently put an end to the three-year deadlock on the proposal for country-by-country reporting and finally adopt its position (see EUROPE B11530A1). The vote in plenary session did not change the text (see EUROPE B12354A20), which has transpartisan support in the European Parliament.
