Michel Barnier at the head of a future working group on United Kingdom to launch forthcoming post-Brexit relationship

23/10/2019 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission set up a Working Group for Relations with the United Kingdom (UKTF) on 22 October. Michel Barnier, the EU's chief negotiator for the United Kingdom's withdrawal deal, will take the lead. The UKTF will include the current TF50 ('Task Force for the Preparation and Conduct of the Negotiations with the United Kingdom under Article 50 TEU') and the Brexit Preparation Unit of the General Secretariat of the EU Council.
