23/10/2019 (Agence Europe) – According to the French press, on Wednesday 23 October, French President Emmanuel Macron is considering introducing former Finance Minister Thierry Breton as European Commissioner to replace Sylvie Goulard, who was rejected by the European Parliament 2 weeks ago (see EUROPE B12346A1). The candidacy of this former right-wing politician and business leader known for restructuring France Telecom in the 2000s, however, would challenge the gender balance sought...
