Bruno Le Maire requests European tax on fuel for aircraft and boats

15/10/2019 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 15 October in Bercy, the French Minister of Finance, Bruno Le Maire, called for the introduction of a European tax on fuel for aircraft and boats. This call was made during a speech on his new “Productive Employment Pact”, one of the strategic orientations of which is to achieve a zero carbon economy by 2050. “It is incomprehensible that carbon emission targets have been set for our cars and that no targets have been set for aircraft or boats....
