ICG calls for resumption of Oslo negotiations

The International Contact Group (ICG) on Venezuela, meeting in New York on 23 September, issued a joint statement expressing its concern about the temporary suspension of the Oslo talks and urging the parties to return to negotiations that are “inclusive, credible and serious on the basis of the previously agreed agenda”.

Thus, the ICG considered that “the recently launched national table between the authorities and some minority political forces does not offer the necessary guarantees...
