11/09/2019 (Agence Europe) – Taking advantage of the announcement of the new European Commission (see EUROPE 12324/1), the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) called on European institutions on Wednesday 11 September to set up a comprehensive European transition plan towards ‘zero emission’ mobility. The ACEA launched its first annual report on the factors that enable consumers to quickly adopt “alternative” technologies to conventional combustion cars to coincide with the Frankfurt Motor Show. According to the organisation, the transition cannot be driven by the private sector alone and must be supported by the public sector, in particular by massively deploying the necessary charging infrastructure.
