09/07/2019 (Agence Europe) – Contrary to what we indicated in EUROPE 12291/7, on Monday 8 July, at the EU-Ukraine Summit, the European Commission announced five financial support programmes for a total amount of €119 million and not €129 million. Indeed, 10 million will be allocated to the Sea of Azov region, 44 million for the facilitation of vital reforms and the implementation of the Association Agreement and the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area, 40 million for decentralisation, 15 million for the fight against corruption and 10 million for support to civil society. In addition, the EU has announced a further €17.7 million in humanitarian aid to address the consequences of the conflict in eastern Ukraine. (CG)
