Nearly 80 MEPs are asking European Parliament to accredit Messrs Puigdemont, Comin and Junqueras

Some 79 MEPs signed a letter, delivered to the Bureau of the European Parliament on Monday evening, 17 June, and officially presented the following day asking that Catalan separatists Carles Puigdemont, Antoni Comin and Oriol Junqueras be allowed to sit as MEPS in the next European Parliament(see EUROPE B12276A12).

In essence, the signatories reject the obligation imposed on the three MEPS on Monday 17 June to appear before the Spanish authorities to take an oath to the national constitution...
