22/05/2019 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 21 May, the EU Military Committee chose Esa Pulkkinen's successor as head of the EU Military Staff from May 2020. It is the French Vice-Admiral, Hervé Bléjean, announced Mr Pulkkinen on May 22 on his Twitter account. Vice-Admiral Bléjean, 55, is currently Deputy Commander of NATO's Maritime Command (MARCOM). Finnish Lieutenant General Esa Pulkkinen has been in post since May 2016. (CG)
