21/05/2019 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday, 21 May, the European University Institute (EUI) launched a website called euandi2019 designed to help European citizens determine which political party running in the 2019 European elections suits them best and to thus make an “informed choice” when they vote. To this end, the site—available in more than 20 languages—invites visitors to react to 22 statements covering a wide range of hot topics in Europe. The results then show which parties align most closely with citizens’ preferences, both in their country and in the European Union as a whole. According to the EUI, this tool—developed by a team of 122 political scientists and political party experts (being about five per Member State)—is “politically neutral and does not favour any political party or group of parties”.
