Brussels. Council of the EU. Eastern Partnership Foreign Ministers Meeting (EU + Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Republic of Moldova, Ukraine) - Update on the commitments made at the last Eastern Partnership Summit held in November 2017 and discussion of the implementation of the priorities contained in the '20 results for 2020' document adopted by that Summit and on priorities for the future - Celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Eastern Partnership at a High Level Conference (14/05).

Council of the EU. ‘Agriculture and Fisheries’ Council - New model for the implementation of the CAP reform package for the post-2020 period - Discussion of the agricultural aspects of the 'A clean planet for all: a long-term strategic vision for a climate-neutral economy' communication - Other business: Declaration for a smart and sustainable digital future in European agriculture and rural areas; follow-up to the Court of Justice judgment on the regulatory status of plants resulting from some of the latest plant breeding methods; Regulation on the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund.

European Ombudsman - Presentation by Mrs O'Learry of the European Ombudsman's 2018 Annual Report - Presentation of three inquiries concerning a lack of transparency in decision-making by national governments in the EU - Review of various complaints lodged by citizens, companies and civil society organisations.

Council of the EU. ‘Foreign Affairs’ Council. *Development: - Discussion of how to revitalise the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development of the Paris Climate Agreement - Exchange of views on strengthening partnerships with young people in developing countries - Sahel: discussion on strengthening EU engagement in the Sahel after the discussion with G5 Sahel ministers at the ‘Defence’ Committee (see above) - Continuation of discussions about the future of the financial architecture for sustainable development initiated at the previous EU Council.

Council of the EU. ‘Economic and Financial Affairs’ Committee - International issues: debate on the taxation of the digital economy at the international level; results of spring meetings of the G20, IMF and World Bank and preparation of the G20 summit in June in Japan; results of the first meeting of the Coalition of Finance Ministers for Climate Action - Excise duties: agreement sought on new rules to be applied in the EU - EMU: exchange of views focusing on the regulation establishing the reform support programme - European Semester 2019: adoption of conclusions on the results of in-depth reviews and the implementation of recommendations by country in 2018.
