Several Member States, including Italy, asked to ratify International Convention on Training of Ship's Personnel

The European Commission adopted on Thursday 28 March a report calling on Member States that have not done so, in particular Italy and Malta, to ratify the International Maritime Organisation's (IMO) International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Fishing Vessel Personnel (STCW-F). This agreement entered into force on 29 September 2012. All Member States of the Union are members of the IMO.
